Want to achieve the perfect fresh from the beach look without ever stepping foot in the sand? Here's how to put beachy waves in your hair in minutes.

Have you ever wanted that beachy hair look without stepping foot in the sand? This hairstyle may seem like something that would take hours to achieve at home, but we can teach you how to get the look in minutes.

The beachy hair look is easy to create and looks good on all different hair types. These waves really frame your face to give you the perfect minimalist look.

Keep reading for different ways to achieve beachy waves.

Use Your Flat Iron

This might sound counterintuitive, but you can get the perfect beach waves just by using your flat iron. Take a medium-sized section of your hair and twist. You will want to run your flat iron over these twists for about 10 seconds.

The thicker you make the sections of hair the chunkier your beach waves will be. Do each section of your hair, then flip your head over and shake them out. A sea salt spray will also help these waves stay in your hair all day.

Use Your Curling Wand

Because you're going to be using a lot of heat to get beachy waves with this method, you should start by applying your favorite heat protectant.

To get this look you will start at the back of your head. Take one-inch sections of your hair and wrap them around the curling wand, while leaving the ends out.

Make sure you're curling away from your face for the best results. You can continue to do this until your whole head has lots of beachy waves. Now you want to find a few strands that need to be curled again but curl these away from your face.

Brush through or shake out your curls to give them a more messy effect. Remember to finish with sea salt spray or a hair spray with low hold so your curls will be touchable and smooth.

Beach Waves For Super Long Hair

If you have naturally super long hair or just love long extensions, then you can still get beachy waves in minutes. Start by putting your hair in a super high ponytail as close to your hairline as possible. Secure your hair with a ponytail holder.

Now you can take one-inch strands and curl them while leaving a section out at your ends. Leaving the ends of your hair out of the curls will make these curls not look so structured and give them more of that messy look you're trying to achieve.

Once you've curled your entire ponytail you can remove it and run your fingers through the curls. You want to give them the undone look so they seem like they naturally came from a day on the beach.

Beachy Waves Are Easy

You can achieve beachy waves with many different methods and for any hair type. This hairstyle looks good with short or long hair. Make sure you're always using a heat protectant if you put any form of heat on your hair.
